I'm nearing completion of the art journal I began last year around this time. It's amazing to flip through the pages and see the time passing.
I think Dorothy Parker once quipped that her favorite part of writing was finishing (I love Dorothy Parker). I usually agree with her - it's such a satisfying feeling to finish. But with art journaling, I love every moment of the process too.
What about you?

Stumbled upon your blog today, linked through Journal Junk, but have bookmarked it and find your work--both the words and the art inspiring. (I, too, am a huge Dorothy Parker fan, which is how I knew I'd "come to the right place.") Always a good sign, too, when one is able to enjoy the process, realizing that the journey itself may have been the point of seeking the destination.

I used to think I enjoyed finishing more than the process (having done rather than doing). But for this book I'm finding the 'finishing' part so much harder than the actual creating. So I'm really not sure at the moment!
Those pages from your journal are gorgeous.

Correction: linked through Art Junk Girl.
Sorry about that.

I have started several art journals and never completed any of them. I don't do it consistenty. I have kept a traditional written diary all my life, but can't seem to meld the two. I think I worry too much about making "art" in the journal, and then needing to say something really "profound" in order to justify writing on the "art." dear me...I'm neurotic! LOL
