ACEO (Sweet)
(ACEO 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" on watercolor paper base). Original pen and ink illustration on vintage notebook paper, gesso, oil pastel, watercolor crayons, white gel pen, and collage snippet from vintage sheet music.
I do love working with old paper. I hoard old paper. I am known to take out my collection and just look at the various pieces. I'm generally afraid to use this paper because I have an irrational fear of running out of it.
I love the way these papers look as if someone spilled tea on them (and of course, you can mimic the aged look by doing exactly that with either fabric or paper). I love how the pages smell. I've never eaten any so I can't tell you how it might taste, but old paper should not be overlooked as a worthy sensory experience.
This is #69 in my year-long daily art project and is available through my etsy shop Boodzoo Studio in support of a cause close to my heart.
Please look for a new heart and love-themed ACEO, here, every day through February 28th.

What a cute ACEO! I stumbled across your blog the other day and am oh so happy that I did. It's quickly becoming one of my favorites! Love your Etsy shop too.

This one is so cute! Bonus, I was able to purchase it. I am glad to be helping out for a good cause and have another piece of your work.
Keep up the good work!

This post is a sensory experience in itself.
I have a similar irrational fear of using all of my art supplies, and it is especially strong with unique things.
